Keep up to date with what is going on with the PEF!
The PEF knows that keeping track of everything is hard…we communicate in many ways to help you stay involved.
There are several ways to keep up to date on everything the PEF is doing regularly without missing important dates or events. We do our best to keep our web page as up to date as possible. Our full year of scheduled events is already on the calendar, but there are many ways to stay in touch and keep reminded.
Once your child is registered and officially enrolled at Polaris, even if they have not started we highly suggest you join the parents only page on Facebook. This is a great place to ask questions, get real time updates on snow dates, cancellations, event reminders and opportunities to collaborate. While many things on the page are community direct questions like the time of an event or a last minute volunteer need, we have shared great conversations about our home internet policies, area events and happy parenting moments. Even if you aren’t a huge Facebook page, following this page is a wonderful parenting life line.
If you are not currently enrolled in the school but want to keep up to date on PEF happenings as an active grandparent, future parent or community supporter join our Facebook page Friends of Polaris.
This page is more limited for privacy and does not have many student photos but it is a great way to keep up with many of the great things that Polaris can share. This page is members only but we welcome all who have healthy and respectful reasons to be interested in Polaris to join.
The weekly school newsletter is posted on the website, choose follow and the weekly updates will be sent straight to your in box from WordPress. The PEF update is on the bottom of the newsletter. The five minutes it takes to read the weekly newsletter is a valuable way to stay in the know. https://polarischarterschool.org/
Flyers/Communication to Home
The PEF does send home communication in the form of flyers for our major events and fundraiser. We are confident 30% of them come home with at least one child in the family and are delivered in a timely fashion. Due to the cost and extra work it puts on the school staff, communications sent home are generally for our biggest fundraisers, events and news. Check those back packs!
